Dessalines marches from Aquin to Anse-à-Veau
Haitian
Two days after the battle of Aquin (7 July 1800), Dessalines, having left the rest of his army under the orders of Brigadier General Laplume, set out from Aquin for l’Anse-à-Veau with 800 men. He took this bourg as well as the Petit Trou de Nippes, returned to Aquin, and from there marched on Saint-Louis du Sud.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Aquin.
