Desfourneaux defeated at Camp Raymond
Haitian
On 7 August 1796, General Desfourneaux set out from the Cayes at the head of a column and came in sight of the Raymond camp, which was occupied by a body of English and royalist colonists. They came to blows. Desfourneaux was completely beaten and withdrew to Camp-Perrin.
Rouzier tells this under the entry RAYMOND.
