Coronation festival of Our Lady of Altagracia at Santo Domingo

The festival of the coronation of Notre-Dame d’Altagrâce, organized by Monsignor Nouël, had a triumphal splendor in Santo-Domingo. This Virgin, who for three centuries has been at Higuey the object of the trusting veneration of the Dominicans, received on 15 and 16 August 1922 a grand homage, of which the Capital of the neighboring Republic still thrills.
