Conspiracy of the Riviéristes crushed by Terlonge at Léogane
Haitian
On 17 September 1845, conspiracy of the riviéristes. The conspirators gather at Port-au-Prince during the night at the Croix-des-Martyrs, and from there make for Léogane, where the head of the party, Colonel Pierre Paul, is to be found. Terlonge, at the head of a column, pursues them and crushes them at the entrance of that town. Noble conduct of Terlonge toward the vanquished. There then follow numerous executions without any judicial form at Gressier, at Léogane and at the pont de Thor.
Rouzier tells this under the entry PORT-AU PRINCE [le].
