Columbus enters the Baie de l’Écu

Christopher Columbus, after reaching the bay of the Môle Saint-Nicolas, went there on 8 December 1492. He managed to communicate with the inhabitants of the island by means of a woman whom his agents had won over.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Baie de l’Ecu (la).
