Colonel Spencer takes Fort Bizoton

Haitian

Colonel Spencer entered the fort with a battalion. They fought in the darkness with the bayonet and hand to hand. The soldiers of the fort, seeing themselves betrayed, fell back on Port-Républicain. Monbrun was wounded in the hand in the melee. He was suspected throughout the town of having betrayed.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Bizoton.
