Civil tribunal instituted at Saint Marc

The Civil Court, instituted on 27 December 1875, handed down in 1887 86 judgments, of which 20 were civil, 45 correctional, and 4 commercial. Its jurisdiction extended over the other communes of the arrondissement and over the three communes of the arrondissement of Dessalines. It was replaced in 1918 by the Court of First Instance.
