Boyer at Pongaudin receives a protest from generals of the Cap

Haitian

On 20 October 1820 President Boyer was on this habitation after the death of Christophe, on his way to the North to proclaim there the constitution of the republic, when he received a protest against his march from some generals of the Cap who styled themselves the organs of the people and of the army. He continued his march with his troops all the same.

Rouzier tells this under the entry POUGAUDIN ou PONGAUDIN.
