Boudet’s division seeks Toussaint’s hidden money at Lafortune
Haitian
LAFORTUNE. Savanna near the Plassac habitation, on the banks of the Petite-Rivière de l’Artibonite. On 11 March 1802 the division of General Boudet, on leaving the Verrettes, went to the savanna of Lafortune to seize a sum of money that Toussaint had hidden there. But it had been carried off by his partisans.
Rouzier tells this under the entry LAFORTUNE.
