Boudet sends 2,000 men to Croix-des-Bouquets on news of Dessalines
Haitian
After the occupation of Port-Républicain by the troops of the Leclerc expedition, General Boudet learned, on 9 February 1802, of the appearance of Dessalines in the plain of the Cul-de-Sac. He immediately sent 2,000 men to occupy the Croix-des-Bouquets. They put out the fire that had been set to a few houses at their approach.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Croix-des-Bouquets (la).
