Béranger kills thirty enslavers at fort St. Joseph
Haitian
A royalist colonist, or rather a monster, named Béranger, who had killed thirty enslavers in Fort St. Joseph at Port-au-Prince on the arrival of the English, on 5 June 1794, fleeing the just punishment that awaited him, drowned in the Voldrogue on his way to Jérémie. See: Basse Voldrogue.
Rouzier tells this under the entry VOLDROGUE [la].
