Beauvais leaves Jacmel by sea
Haitian
Beauvais had received from Roume, the agent of the Executive Directory, a letter that he had hidden from the population. Suddenly, on the morning of 13 September 1799, the rumor ran that Beauvais had embarked for St. Thomas, abandoning his young daughters and his wife.
Rouzier tells this under the entry JACMEL.
