Bazelais drives off a Christophe column near Boucassin

Haitian

In 1808 (July) a column of Christophe’s appeared near Boucassin. President Pétion was in the South. General Bazelais advanced against the enemy, whom he drove off on the 23rd. He took position on the habitation Poix la Générale; David Troy distinguished himself in the action.

Rouzier tells this under the entry POIX la GENERALE.
