Act of conciliation with the Camp Perrin rebels
Haitian
On 4 April 1844 an act of conciliation was signed between the commissioners sent to the Cayes by the government and those of the uprising at Camp Perrin. The rebels demanded the release of the citizen Etienne Salomon, held at Port-au-Prince. President Guerrier, from his accession, gave freedom to this citizen, whom he charged with going to calm the populations of the South, who were greatly stirred up against Ch. Hérard the elder.
Rouzier tells this under the entry CAMP PERRIN [le].
