1805: Shore attack on the boats of the Maria Leonor, bound for Pernambuco (voyage 49794)

On a slaving voyage that ended at Pernambuco in 1805, the Maria Leonor had its boats attacked from the shore. The people aboard had been taken at Gabon.

The record gives the numbers as: 221 people were embarked; 180 were landed; 41 died on the crossing.
