1802: Insurrection aboard the Balk, bound for Montevideo (voyage 96083)

On a slaving voyage that ended at Montevideo in 1802, the people aboard the Balk rose against the crew. They had been taken at Senegal.

The record gives the numbers as: 742 people were embarked; 469 were landed; 273 died on the crossing.
