1794-May-19: Brigadier General Whyte arrived at the harbor of Cape St.

1794-May-19: Brigadier General Whyte arrived at the harbor of Cape St. Nicholas with three fresh regiments of infantry to reinforce the exhausted British occupation force. His arrival provided immediate relief to the troops and signaled the beginning of a planned offensive against the republican stronghold of Port-au-Prince.
