1794-Dec.-29: Lieutenant Bradford led the survivors of the Tiburon garrison in a breakout through enemy lines, fighting for five miles to reach safety at Irois. During the fort’s fall, Lieutenant Baskerville committed suicide to avoid being captured and executed by the “savage enemy.”
