1767-Jan.-14: M. Ringeard, a resident of the Coupe-à-David district and a native of Nantes, passed away at the end of December 1766. Additionally, the death of M. Jean-François Bouche was recorded on January 8th in the camp-de-Louise district. M. Bouche, aged 42, had been appointed an honorary commander of the Acul region by the Count d’Estaing. These notices serve as a record of the mortality and shifting local leadership within the white planter class of the 1760s.
