1767-Jan.-14: A 26-year-old enslaved man, noted for being a skilled saddler and carriage repairer, was offered for rent or private sale in Cap-Français. The advertisement emphasized his ability to completely refurbish old carriages and harnesses to like-new condition. He belonged to Mr. Guibert, a merchant located on Penthievre and Notre-Dame streets.
