Chapitre V: Des Saisies-arrêts ou Oppositions (On Garnishments or Oppositions)

Il faut que le jugement ait déclaré que la saisie-arrêt est valable, avant d'assigner le tiers saisi à faire déclaration; s'il n'y a pas de titre authentique.

Life lesson: Without a notarized title, you need the court to validate the garnishment before you can compel the third party to declare what they owe.
Notes: Séquential requirement: no titre authentique → validité judgment prerequisite to tiers saisi declaration. Protects garnishees from premature obligations.
