Dans le cas de protêt, la lettre de change ou billet à ordre pourra être accepté par un autre que par celui sur lequel il ou elle a été tiré, pour l'honneur du tireur ; et alors il rentrera dans tous les droits du porteur.

Life lesson: If a bill is protested, a third party can step in and accept it to save the drawer's honor — and that hero gets all the holder's rights.
Notes: Acceptance par intervention (pour l'honneur): third party accepts protested bill to honor drawer. Intervener acquires holder's rights. Rescue mechanism.
