L'assuré ne pourra être reçu à former aucune demande contre le capitaine et les assureurs, pour dommage arrivé à sa marchandise, s'il l'a reçue sans protêt fait dans les vingt-quatre heures.

Life lesson: Accept your cargo without protesting within 24 hours and you lose the right to claim damage against anyone.
Notes: 24-hour protest rule (insured): receiving merchandise without protest within 24 hours = waiver of all damage claims against captain and insurers. Strict receipt-inspection deadline.
