Life lesson: Officers' pay and sailors' wages are untouchable — they are never thrown into the pot for general average sharing.
Notes: Crew wage exemption from general average: officer salaries + sailor wages excluded from masse commune (common mass). Not subject to contribution or distribution. Absolute protection of labor compensation.
