En cas de prise, naufrage, ou perte entière du bâtiment et marchandises, les gens de l'équipage ne peuvent prétendre à aucun gage, à moins que quelques parties du navire ou marchandises soient sauvées, alors les équipages engagés au voyage seront payés sur le produit de la vente d'icelle.

Life lesson: Total loss means total loss — the crew gets nothing unless something is salvaged, in which case they share in the proceeds.
Notes: Total loss rule: capture/shipwreck/total loss → no crew wages. Exception: if any vessel/cargo salvaged, voyage-engaged crew paid from salvage sale proceeds. Risk-sharing principle: crew's fortune tied to ship's fate.
