Les propriétaires et fermiers des habitations sont tenus de s'entourer en haies vives, ou entourages à rames ou à gaules.

Les haies seront sarclées et taillées au moins trois fois l'année, particulièrement celles qui donnent sur les grandes routes.

Les entourages, pour être reconnus bons et solides, seront faits en racines, sur cinq pieds de hauteur, ou en pieux debout, plantés à dix-huit pouces de distance, sur cinq pieds de hauteur, et amarrés à cinq gaules.

Life lesson: Good fences make good neighbors — and good agriculture. Trim them three times a year, build them five feet tall, and the law will call them solid.
Notes: Detailed fencing specifications — living hedges or 5-foot stake fences at 18-inch intervals. Hedges must be maintained 3x/year. Road-facing hedges get priority maintenance.
