Titre IV: Du Domicile (On Domicile)

Le lieu du principal établissement de tout haytien, constatera celui de son domicile, qui ne pourra être changé que par la déclaration expresse qu'il en aura faite au greffe de la juridiction quittée, et à celui du lieu qu'il a de nouveau adopté.

Life lesson: Your home is not merely where you sleep — it is where the law finds you. To change it, you must speak twice: once to the place you leave, and once to the place you choose.
Notes: Domicile defined by principal establishment. Change requires dual formal declaration at both the departing and receiving jurisdictions — preventing informal or ambiguous relocations that could create legal confusion.
