Life lesson: Full-blood relatives inherit from both lines. Only when one line is entirely empty does the other absorb the whole.
Notes: Full-blood (germains): take in both paternal and maternal lines. Cross-line devolution only when one line has no ascendants or collaterals at all. Cf. Code Napoléon Art. 733.
