Si le mariage n'est pas célébré dans l'année, à dater de la troisième publication, on ne pourra procéder à sa célébration, qu'après de nouvelles publications, dans les formes prescrites par l'article précédent.

Life lesson: Intention has an expiration date. If a year passes without action, the promise must be renewed before the community once more.
Notes: One-year validity for published banns. After expiration, the entire publication process must restart — preventing stale marriage declarations from being used long after circumstances may have changed.
