Le procureur du roi est tenu de vérifier l'état des registres à l'époque du dépôt qui en sera fait au greffe ; il dressera un procès verbal sommaire de cette opération, et dénoncera les contraventions ou délits commis par les lieutenans de juge, et requerra contre eux les peines ci-après portées.
