Chapitre I: De l'Expropriation ou Vente forcée (On Expropriation or Forced Sale)

Le juge pourra suspendre les poursuites, si le débiteur offre au créancier de déléguer les revenus de ses immeubles, en justifiant, par baux authentiques, que ces revenus net et quitte d'une année, sont suffisans pour payer la dette en capital, intérêts et frais. Les poursuites seront continuées, s'il survient quelque opposition ou obstacle au payement.

Life lesson: Offer to assign your rental income to pay the debt, and the judge might pause the forced sale — as long as the income covers the full amount.
Notes: Judicial suspension: debtor offers revenue delegation. Condition: authentic lease proving net annual revenue ≥ debt (capital + interest + costs). Resumption if obstacle arises.
