Si le mandataire décède avant d'avoir terminé l'affaire dont il était chargé, ses héritiers seront tenus d'en prévenir le mandant, et en attendant qu'il ait nommé un nouveau mandataire, ils feront, pour la conservation de ses intérêts, tout ce que les circonstances peuvent exiger.

Life lesson: If the agent dies mid-task, the heirs must notify the principal and do whatever's needed to protect the principal's interests until a replacement is named.
Notes: Mandatary's heirs: duty to notify principal + interim preservation of principal's interests. Bridge obligation until new mandatary appointed.
