Le mandataire qui n'est autorisé qu'à transiger, n'a pas le pouvoir de consentir à un compromis, ou à un jugement arbitral.

Life lesson: Authority to settle doesn't include authority to submit to arbitration — those are different powers.
Notes: Transiger ≠ compromettre: settlement mandate does not extend to arbitration. Strict interpretation of mandate scope.
