L'emprunteur est propriétaire des objets prêtés ; et s'ils périssent, de quelque manière que ce soit, c'est pour son compte.

Life lesson: In a consumption loan, the borrower owns what was lent — and bears all the risk if it's lost.
Notes: Ownership transfer in mutuum: borrower becomes owner. Res perit domino — all risk of loss falls on borrower regardless of cause.
