Toussaint and Moïse surround the Cap; Hédouville leaves

Haitian

On 22 October 1798 Toussaint-Louverture and Moïse came to surround the Cap, and forced the agent of the Directory, Hédouville, to leave the colony. Toussaint entered the Cap in triumph.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Cap-haïtien (le).
