Thibaud runs the Vengeur aground on La Gonâve

Haitian

On 23 July 1810, Thibaud, pursued by the fleet of Christophe, ran the Vengeur aground at the western point of the Gonâve, and put the women ashore. Bocage blew up the ship, which was carrying to Port-au-Prince the heart of General Lamarre after the fall of the Môle.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Gonâve (la).
