The French evacuated the Môle
Haitian
The French, perceiving the small number of the indigènes, raked them with grapeshot from the forts and forced them to retreat. The independents camped around the Mole, at a lieue, cutting off all communication by land, until the evacuation of the French, which took place on 4 December 1803. Pourcelly entered the town, which he found furnished with formidable war matériel.
Rouzier tells this under the entry MOLE SAINT-NICOLAS.
