Sarrazin fights through to Welche Taverny
Haitian
On 13 March General Sarrazin arrived at Welche Taverny, having cut his way by the force of bayonets through the ambushes of the indigènes. These pursued the French as far as Houe, where the fighting was bloodiest, then as far as Torbeck. On 8 October 1806 General Moreau, commanding the Arrondissement of the Cayes, was arrested at the Karatas and taken prisoner to Welche Taverny, where the insurgents against Dessalines were encamped.
Rouzier tells this under the entry WELCHE TAVERNY.
