Salnave’s generals make a pact with the revolution at Jacmel
Haitian
During the revolution of the Cacos in 1869, this town was the scene of grave events. Victorin Chevalier, minister of war, and Thomas Christ, Vériquin, sent by Salnave to besiege it, after a long siege ended by coming to terms with the revolution on 4 November.
Rouzier tells this under the entry JACMEL.
