Positions are taken to besiege Saint-Marc

Haitian

On 24 October the positions were taken to form the siege of St.Marc. The next day the garrison began to cannonade the besiegers; it attacked the 23rd and 24th demi-brigades, at the head of which were Generals Bazelais and Métellus. The action had lasted two hours; Christophe’s troops were repulsed with losses. On 9 November the order was given to transport by sea the necessary siege artillery, when Christophe’s flotilla appeared, which made any landing impossible by cannonading the lines.

Rouzier tells this under the entry ST.-MARC.
