Port-au-Prince arsenal explodes

Haitian

Since so many fires, some owners have had their buildings rebuilt in masonry; these constructions are very fine. The arsenal blew up 3 times: on 2 February 1827, on 12 September 1866 and on 6 July 1908. Hurricane of 28 September 1820.

Rouzier tells this under the entry PORT-AU PRINCE [le].
