Piquets who seized Port-à-Piment are cut up by Petit Jean

Haitian

History. On 7 April 1846, the Piquets who had seized this bourg were partly cut to pieces by Petit Jean and Paul François, their chief, who had only time to throw themselves into a canoe. The remnants of these devastating bands were beaten in succession at Camp Perrin, at Corail, at Port-Salut, at Pestel, at the Platons, at the Coteaux, at Fond Bleu.

Rouzier tells this under the entry PORT A PIMENT (le) du Sud.
