Pétion’s army advances from Mirebalais to the Crête Brûlée
Haitian
On 8 June 1809, the army of President Pétion, going to fight Christophe, moved from Mirebalais onto the Crête Brûlée, in spite of the high waters of the Artibonite and the fortifications raised by Pierre Toussaint on the banks of the river to halt its march.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Crête Brûlée (la).
