Petion attacks and takes the English officer’s position at Kenskoff

Haitian

It is Kérenskoff that one ought to say, from the name of an English officer whom Pétion surrounded at the fort of la Coupe (Pétion-Ville) in 1797. On 5 December he attacked it and took it after an hour of combat.

Rouzier tells this under the entry KENSKOFF.
