On 7 floréal year 8 the municipal administration of Le Cap addressed Roume, who decreed that General Agé take possession of the former Spanish part in the name of the French people with white troops, with A. Chanlatte as delegate and with Catholic worship maintained; Roume and Toussaint Louverture wrote to Don García the same day.
