Moniteur publishes the director’s report on the company’s operations

Haitian

A good part of the land of the Vallée was plowed and planted in cotton. A hatte had been established. Posts of hardwood were being cut for construction. A lime kiln was in operation. The Moniteur, official journal of the Republic, of 21 June 1866 contains a report by the managing director on the operations of the Company, addressed to the Members of the Supervisory Board, for 31 March 1864 to 31 December 1865. This report, dated 9 June 1866, showed 2,830 mahogany logs, measuring 1,007,046 feet, and 761 mahogany forks measuring 15,190 feet.

Rouzier tells this under the entry TORTUE (la).
