Haitian
On 22 September 1908 Jérémie answered the insurrectionary movement of the Cayes against President Nord Alexis. The Croyant, a government warship, had landed its arms and run aground. The Minister of the Interior, Villehardouin Leconte, escaped in a sailing boat and made landfall at Corail, where General Duperré Sylvain had him taken to Port-au-Prince on 27 September after 5 days of dangers of every kind.
Rouzier tells this under the entry JÉRÉMIE.
