Government Palace (Port-au-Prince). Pierrot receives the officials and the Council of State there.

When he had returned to the National Palace, he received the congratulations of the civil and military officials and of Rameau, vice-president of the Council of State. The next day the funeral service of Philippe Guerrier was celebrated in the church with the greatest solemnity. The President of the Republic attended, accompanied by the minister of War, the commander of the Department, and the generals who were in the capital.
