Saint-Marc. Guerrier’s funeral is celebrated there and Pierrot takes his oath as President.

On 25 April two aides-de-camp arrived at Le Cap bearing to the Council of State dispatches from President Pierrot, announcing that he accepted the first magistracy of the State and that he called upon the support of all citizens to help him fulfil the duties of that office. He made it known that he was leaving for Saint-Marc, where he would have the funeral of Guerrier celebrated, and that from Saint-Marc he would go on to Port-au-Prince.

President Pierrot arrived at Saint-Marc on 26 April at six o’clock in the morning, and at seven o’clock on the same day the funeral of Guerrier was celebrated in accordance with the program published on 16 April by the Council of the Secretaries of State.
