Fort National. Apollon’s column is driven off and Frédéric’s battalion occupies it

While Yayou was winning this success, another enemy column, led by Colonel Apollon, was marching against Fort National, the highest point of the town and the most important, which was not guarded at that moment. As it passed in front of the fort since called Eveillard, where the 21st had rallied, it was stopped by the fire of that demi-brigade.
